I realize I haven’t done this in a while so back by popular demand (O.K, my demand) are my shout outs for this week:
- My first Gold Dollar goes to…The preacher who married a Japanese man to a pillow. Yes I’m serious. Friends say that this Japanese men was obsessed with a large, huggable pillow with a picture of a character from Japanese anime on the pillow. The pillow and the man went out to movies and to restraunts. The pillow would get it’s own seat and meal. Kudos to the preacher who managed to marry them without laughing his head off!
- The next Gold Dollar goes to…Christopher Nolan. Nolan has said that Batman 3 will be the last Batman film he directs. He says the story will be a closure for the film series. I have to respect that decision and hope that Batman 3 will be just as good as the first two films.
- Finally a Gold Dollar to all the people who discovered and spread the information about the Facebook/YouTube scam. For those of you who don’t know it works something like this: Someone with a youtube account creates a popular fan page on Facebook. These pages require you to become a fan, confirm you’re a fan, and then invite friends. What happens is that when you click the confirm button and you are logged onto Youtube, it automatically subscribes your Youtube account to that of the Facebook fan page creator. Luckily many people have jumped onto this scam and they deserve a great thank you!
